The Prophet ﷺ would stand so long during the first rakah of the noon prayer that no footstep could be heard.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا همام حدثنا محمد بن جحادة عن رجل
أن النبي ﷺ كان يقوم في الركعة الأولى من صلاة الظهر حتى لا يسمع وقع قدم
Its chain of transmission is daif, due to the unidentified status of the narrator from Ibn Abu Awfa. Bayhaqi named the unidentified man as Tarafah Hadrami, and if it is indeed him, then the hadith is hasan, for Tarafah is acceptable. It is found in Abu Dawud 1/212, no. 802.
