He was among the Companions of the Tree. A daughter of his died, and he followed her funeral procession riding on a mule behind it. The women began to wail, so he said, "Do not lament, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade lamentations. Let any of you shed whatever tears she wishes." Then he pronounced four takbirs over her, and after the fourth he stood for about the same length of time as between two takbirs, supplicating. Then he said, "This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the funeral prayer."
حدثنا حسين بن محمد حدثنا شعبة عن إبراهيم الهجري
وكان من أصحاب الشجرة فماتت ابنة له وكان يتبع جنازتها على بغلة خلفها فجعل النساء يبكين فقال لا ترثين فإن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن المراثي فتفيض إحداكن من عبرتها ما شاءت ثم كبر عليها أربعا ثم قام بعد الرابعة قدر ما بين التكبيرتين يدعو ثم قال كان رسول الله ﷺ يصنع في الجنازة هكذا

Its isnad is daif because of Ibrahim bin Muslim Hijri, though his weakness is minor. The hadith was narrated by Ibn Majah, 1/507, no. 1592, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on weeping for the dead, and it was graded daif in Zawaid.
