Abdullah bin Abu Awfa reported,

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I am unable to learn anything from the Quran, so teach me something that will suffice me in place of the Quran."He said, "Say, Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest, and there is no power and no strength except by Allah."The man went off, or stood up, or something like that, then said, "This is for Allah , so what is for me?"He said, "Say, O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, guide me, and provide for me," or "provide for me, guide me, and grant me well-being."Masaar said, "Sometimes he said, I sought clarification on part of it from Abu Khalid," meaning ad-Dalani.

عن ابن أبي أوفى قال

أتى رجل النبي ﷺ فقال إني لا أستطيع أن آخذ من القرآن شيئا فعلمني شيئا يجزئني من القرآن قال سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله قال فذهب أو قام أو نحو ذا قال هذا لله عز وجل فما لي قال قل اللهم اغفر لي وارحمني وعافني واهدني وارزقني أو ارزقني واهدني وعافني قال مسعر وربما قال استفهمت بعضه من أبي خالد يعني الدالاني
