A girl was playing the tambourine in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then Abu Bakr came, then Umar came, and then Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, came, and she stopped. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Uthman is a modest man."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة أخبرني رجل من بجيلة قال سمعت
كانت جارية تضرب بالدف عند رسول الله ﷺ فجاء أبو بكر ثم جاء عمر ثم جاء عثمان رضي الله تعالى عنه فأمسكت فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن عثمان رجل حيي
Its isnad is daif, due to the anonymity of the narrator from Ibn Abu Awfa, but it is sahih as we indicated at 19014.
