Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Whenever the Quran was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ and he wanted to memorize it quickly, Allah said, "Do not move your tongue with it to hasten it. Indeed, upon Us is its collection and its recitation. So when We have recited it, then follow its recitation." [Qiyamah 75:16–18]

حدثنا سفيان قال وقال موسى بن أبي عائشة سمعت سعيد بن جبير يقول

قال ابن عباس

كان إذا نزل على النبي ﷺ قرآن يريد أن يحفظه قال الله عز وجل {لا تحرك به لسانك لتعجل به إن علينا جمعه وقرآنه فإذا قرأناه فاتبع قرآنه}
