He was trustworthy. Hakam used to take reports from him, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Layla, from Usayd bin Hudayr, that the Prophet ﷺ was asked about the milk of camels. He said, "Perform ablution after drinking it." He was then asked about the milk of sheep, and he said, "Do not perform ablution after drinking it."

وكان ثقة قال وكان الحكم يأخذ عنه عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى عن أسيد بن حضير عن النبي ﷺ أنه سئل عن ألبان الإبل قال توضئوا من ألبانها وسئل عن ألبان الغنم فقال لا توضئوا من ألبانها
