A man reported,

The Messenger of Allah's ﷺ cavalry raided us, so I went to him and found him eating his midday meal. He said, "Come closer and eat."I said, "I am fasting."He said, "Sit down and let me tell you about fasting. Allah has relieved the traveler of half the prayer, and He has relieved the traveler, the pregnant woman, and the nursing mother of the fast."By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used both words, or one of them. How I grieve for myself! If only I had eaten from the food of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا أبو هلال حدثنا عبد الله بن سوادة عن أنس بن مالك رجل من بني عبد الله بن كعب وليس بالأنصاري قال أغارت علينا خيل رسول الله ﷺ فذكر الحديث
