I said, "Prophet of Allah, I was with my wife, and when I heard your voice I withdrew and then performed the ritual bath."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Water is required because of water."

Its isnad is sahih. It has already appeared under number 11247 as part of another story. It has also already appeared shortly before under Bara, but all the jurists have held that it is abrogated by the hadith "When the two circumcised parts meet," as we have explained.
