The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew back the curtain while the people were standing in rows behind Abu Bakr. He said, "People, nothing remains of the heralds of prophethood except the righteous dream that a Muslim sees or that is seen for him."Then he said, "I have been forbidden from reciting the Quran while bowing or prostrating. As for bowing, glorify the Lord in it. As for prostration, strive earnestly in supplication, for it is most fitting that your prayers be answered."

Al-Hafiz mentioned in al-Tahdhib, in the biography of Abdullah bin Mabad, that this is the only hadith of his found in the books, and he marked it with the symbols of Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasai, and Ibn Majah. It is also found in al-Muntaqa, 951.Qamin, with the mim vocalized either fatha or kasra, means fitting and worthy. It is stated in al-Nihaya, "Whoever vocalizes it with fatha does not make it dual, plural, or feminine, because it is a verbal noun, while whoever vocalizes it with kasra does make it dual, plural, and feminine, because it functions as a descriptive adjective."
