God willing, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The emigrant may stay in Mecca for three days after completing his rites."He said, How difficult it was for Ibn Uyayna to say, "He narrated to us."
حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة حدثني عبد الرحمن بن حميد بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف عن السائب بن يزيد
إن شاء الله أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يمكث المهاجر بمكة بعد قضاء نسكه ثلاثا قال ما كان أشد على ابن عيينة أن يقول حدثنا
Its isnad is sahih. Abdul-Rahman bin Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf Zuhri Madani is trustworthy, and his hadith appears among the group of hadith compilers. Saaib bin Yazid is a well known companion. The hadith was narrated by Nasai, 3/122, number 1455, in the chapter on shortening prayer, regarding the point at which one may shorten prayer in a similar situation. Something similar was narrated by Bukhari, 7/66, number 3933 (Fath), and Muslim, 2/985, number 1352, in the chapter on Hajj, regarding the permissibility of a migrant staying in a place. Also by Abu Dawud, 2/213, number 2022, and Tirmidhi, 3/275, number 949, who said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Majah, 1/341, number 1073, and Darimi, 1/425, number 1511.18886m - Abdullah told us. My father told me, saying, "Nothing was harder on Ibn Uyayna than to say, 'So-and-so told us.'"Sahih (18886m). Its isnad is sahih, but it is neither a hadith nor a report. However, Imam Ahmad is praising the piety of Ibn Uyayna.
