The Prophet ﷺ was at al-Rawha when he met a group of riders and greeted them.He asked, "Who are the people?"They replied, "We are Muslims. And who are you?"He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ."A woman was startled, so she took hold of a young boy by his arm and lifted him out of her litter and asked, "Messenger of Allah, does this child have a valid Hajj?"He replied, "Yes, and you will have a reward."
حدثنا سفيان عن إبراهيم بن عقبة عن كريب
كان النبي ﷺ بالروحاء فلقي ركبا فسلم عليهم فقال من القوم قالوا المسلمون قال فمن أنتم قال رسول الله ﷺ ففزعت امرأة فأخذت بعضد صبي فأخرجته من محفتها فقالت يا رسول الله هل لهذا حج قال نعم ولك أجر
Its isnad is sahih. Ibrahim bin Uqba bin Abu Ayyash al-Madani is trustworthy, and he is the brother of Musa bin Uqba. In ح it reads "from Ibrahim from Uqba," which is an error.The hadith was narrated by Muslim 1:379 through the route of Ibn Uyayna, and it was also narrated by Abu Dawud and Nasai, as in Muntaqa 2339.He said, "So who are you?" meaning that the one who answered the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did so afterward, in order to know whom he was addressing.Al-mihaffa, with a kasra on the mim, is a light saddle-frame covered with cloth, in which a woman then rides.Something similar will come later at 1899, 2187, and 2610.
