He informed him that he used to trade in wine during the time of the Prophet ﷺ. He came back from Sham with wine in leather skins intending to sell it, so he went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have brought you fine drink."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Kaysan, it has been forbidden after you left."He asked, "Then may I sell it, Messenger of Allah?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It has been forbidden, and its price has also been forbidden."So Kaysan went to the leather skins, took them by their feet, and poured the wine out.
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن سليمان بن عبد الرحمن
أخبره أنه كان يتجر بالخمر في زمن النبي ﷺ وأنه أقبل من الشام ومعه خمر في الزقاق يريد بها التجارة فأتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إني جئتك بشراب جيد فقال رسول الله ﷺ يا كيسان إنها قد حرمت بعدك قال أفأبيعها يا رسول الله فقال رسول الله ﷺ إنها قد حرمت وحرم ثمنها فانطلق كيسان إلى الزقاق فأخذ بأرجلها ثم أهرقها
