Abdullah bin Bishr Khathami reported,

He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Constantinople will surely be conquered. What an excellent commander will its commander be, and what an excellent army will that army be."He said, Salama bin Abdul-Malik summoned me and questioned me, so I narrated this to him, and he then launched the campaign against Constantinople.

أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول لتفتحن القسطنطينية فلنعم الأمير أميرها ولنعم الجيش ذلك الجيش قال فدعاني مسلمة بن عبد الملك فسألني فحدثته فغزا القسطنطينية
