I was present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was standing at Arafah when some people from Najd came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ, how is the Hajj performed?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "The Hajj is Arafah. Whoever arrives before the dawn prayer on the night of Jam has completed his Hajj. The days of Mina are three. 'Whoever hastens to leave in two days, there is no sin upon him, and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him' [Baqarah 2:203]."Then he had a man ride behind him who began to call out these words.
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن بكير بن عطاء الليثي قال سمعت
شهدت رسول الله ﷺ وهو واقف بعرفة فأتاه ناس من أهل نجد فقالوا يا رسول الله ﷺ كيف الحج فقال رسول الله ﷺ الحج حج عرفة من جاء قبل صلاة الفجر من ليلة جمع تم حجه أيام منى ثلاثة {فمن تعجل في يومين فلا إثم عليه ومن تأخر فلا إثم عليه} ثم أردف خلفه فجعل ينادي بهن
