Kaab bin Mura reported,

I asked, "Messenger of Allah, which part of the night is most receptive to being heard?"He replied, "The depths of the latter part of the night."Then he continued, "Prayer is accepted until the dawn prayer is performed. After that, there is no prayer until the sun rises to the height of a spear or two. Then prayer is accepted until the shadow stands at the length of a spear. After that, there is no prayer until the sun passes the meridian. Then prayer is accepted until the sun is at the height of a spear or two before setting. After that, there is no prayer until the sun sets."He said, "When you wash your face, your sins depart from your face. When you wash your hands, your sins depart from your hands. When you wash your feet, your sins depart from your feet."

عن كعب بن مرة البهزي قال

قلت يا رسول الله أي الليل أسمع قال جوف الليل الآخر قال ثم قال ثم الصلاة مقبولة حتى يصلى الفجر ثم لا صلاة حتى تكون الشمس قيد رمح أو رمحين ثم الصلاة مقبولة حتى يقوم الظل قيام الرمح ثم لا صلاة حتى تزول الشمس ثم الصلاة مقبولة حتى تكون الشمس قيد رمح أو رمحين ثم لا صلاة حتى تغرب الشمس قال إذا غسلت وجهك خرجت خطاياك من وجهك وإذا غسلت يديك خرجت خطاياك من يديك وإذا غسلت رجليك خرجت خطاياك من رجليك
