I saw the Prophet ﷺ raise his hands level with his ears when he said the opening takbir, then again when he bowed, and again when he said, "Allah hears whoever praises Him." I also saw him holding his right hand over his left during the prayer. When he sat, he formed a circle with his middle finger and thumb, pointed with his index finger, placed his right hand on his right thigh, and placed his left hand on his left thigh.

رأيت النبي ﷺ حين كبر رفع يديه حذاء أذنيه ثم حين ركع ثم حين قال سمع الله لمن حمده رفع يديه ورأيته ممسكا يمينه على شماله في الصلاة فلما جلس حلق بالوسطى والإبهام وأشار بالسبابة ووضع يده اليمنى على فخذه اليمنى ووضع يده اليسرى على فخذه اليسرى
