I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said to myself, "Let me observe carefully how he prays."He faced the qiblah and said the takbir, raising his hands until they were level with his shoulders. Then he placed his right hand over his left.When he was about to bow, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. When he bowed, he placed his hands on his knees. When he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. When he prostrated, he placed his hands on the ground level with his face.When he sat, he spread his left foot beneath him and placed his left hand on his left knee, resting the edge of his elbow on his right thigh. He folded three fingers and made a circle with one, pointing with his index finger.
حدثنا يونس بن محمد حدثنا عبد الواحد حدثنا عاصم بن كليب عن أبيه
أتيت النبي ﷺ فقلت لأنظرن كيف يصلي قال فاستقبل القبلة فكبر ورفع يديه حتى كانتا حذو منكبيه قال ثم أخذ شماله بيمينه قال فلما أراد أن يركع رفع يديه حتى كانتا حذو منكبيه فلما ركع وضع يديه على ركبتيه فلما رفع رأسه من الركوع رفع يديه حتى كانتا حذو منكبيه فلما سجد وضع يديه من وجهه بذلك الموضع فلما قعد افترش رجله اليسرى ووضع يده اليسرى على ركبته اليسرى ووضع حد مرفقه على فخذه اليمنى وعقد ثلاثين وحلق واحدة وأشار بإصبعه السبابة
