The delegation of Bajilah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Clothe the Bajilah, and begin with the Ahmasis."A man from Qays held back, saying, "Let me see what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ will say for them."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then supplicated for them five times, saying, "O Allah, send blessings upon them," or "O Allah, bless them." It was Mukhariq who was uncertain about the wording.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن مخارق
قدم وفد بجيلة على رسول الله ﷺ فقال رسول الله ﷺ اكسوا البجليين وابدءوا بالأحمسيين قال فتخلف رجل من قيس قال حتى أنظر ما يقول لهم رسول الله ﷺ قال فدعا لهم رسول الله ﷺ خمس مرات اللهم صل عليهم أو اللهم بارك فيهم مخارق الذي يشك
Its chain of transmission is sahih. It is found in Tabarani's Al-Kabir 8/387, no. 8211, and Haythami attributed it to Ahmad 10/48, saying, "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih." It is also found in Tayalisi 181, no. 1281.
