Hajjaj reported that he witnessed the Prophet ﷺ when a man from Khathaam called Suwayd bin Tariq questioned him. Ibn Jafar said it was Tariq bin Suwayd al-Jufi who asked the Prophet ﷺ about wine, and he forbade him from it. He then mentioned the rest of the hadith.
حدثنا حجاج بن محمد ومحمد بن جعفر قالا ثنا شعبة عن سماك بن حرب عن علقمة بن وائل
حجاج إنه شهد النبي ﷺ وسأله رجل من خثعم يقال له سويد بن طارق وقال ابن جعفر أو طارق بن سويد الجعفي سأل النبي ﷺ عن الخمر فنهاه فذكر الحديث
