The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out at midday to al-Batha. He performed ablution and prayed Zuhr in two units and Asr in two units, with a short spear (anazah) planted in front of him as a barrier. Awn added in his narration from his father Abu Juhayfa that donkeys and women would pass behind it.Hajjaj said in the hadith, Then the people stood up and began taking his hand and wiping their faces with it. He said, So I took his hand and placed it on my face, and it was cooler than snow and more fragrant than musk.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة وحجاج أخبرني شعبة عن الحكم قال سمعت
خرج رسول الله ﷺ بالمهاجرة إلى البطحاء فتوضأ وصلى الظهر ركعتين والعصر ركعتين وبين يديه عنزة وزاد فيه عون عن أبيه أبي جحيفة وكان يمر من ورائها الحمار والمرأة قال حجاج في الحديث ثم قام الناس فجعلوا يأخذون يده فيمسحون بها وجوههم قال فأخذت يده فوضعتها على وجهي فإذا هي أبرد من الثلج وأطيب ريحا من المسك
