I saw Bilal giving the call to prayer, turning around as I followed his mouth this way and that, with his fingers in his ears. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a red tent of his, which I believe was made of leather. Bilal came out before him carrying the anazah, planted it in the ground, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed.Abdul-Razzaq said, I heard him say in Makkah, "At Bathaa, dogs, women, and donkeys would pass in front of him. He was wearing a red garment. It is as if I can still see the gleam of his shins."Sufyan said, We think it was a Yemeni striped cloth.

رأيت بلالا يؤذن ويدور وأتتبع فاه هاهنا وأصبعاه في أذنيه قال ورسول الله ﷺ في قبة له حمراء أراها من أدم قال فخرج بلال بين يديه بالعنزة فركزها فصلى رسول الله ﷺ قال عبد الرزاق وسمعته بمكة قال بالبطحاء يمر بين يديه الكلب والمرأة والحمار وعليه حلة حمراء كأني أنظر إلى بريق ساقيه قال سفيان نراها حبرة
