I was riding behind my father during the Farewell Pilgrimage when the Prophet ﷺ began to speak. I stood up on the camel's hindquarters and placed my hand on my father's shoulder, and I heard him say, "Which day is most sacred?"They replied, "This day."He asked, "Which land is most sacred?"They replied, "This land."He asked, "Which month is most sacred?"They replied, "This month."He said, "Indeed, your blood and your property are sacred to you, just as the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours. Have I conveyed the message?"They replied, "Yes."He said, "Allah, bear witness. Allah, bear witness."
حدثنا يحيى بن زكريا بن أبي زائدة حدثني أبو مالك الأشجعي حدثني
إني لرديف أبي في حجة الوداع إذ تكلم النبي ﷺ فقمت على عجز الراحلة فوضعت يدي على عاتق أبي فسمعته يقول أي يوم أحرم قالوا هذا اليوم قال فأي بلد أحرم قالوا هذا البلد قال فأي شهر أحرم قالوا هذا الشهر قال فإن دماءكم وأموالكم عليكم حرام كحرمة يومكم هذا في شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا هل بلغت قالوا نعم قال اللهم اشهد اللهم اشهد
