A man said to him, "Abu Ammara, did you all turn and flee on the day of Hunayn?"He replied, "No, by Allah, the Prophet ﷺ did not turn away. Rather, it was the hasty ones among the people who fled. Hawazin met them with a volley of arrows, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on his white mule, with Abu Sufyan bin Harith holding its reins. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was saying, 'I am the Prophet, this is no lie. I am the son of Abdul-Muttalib.'"
حدثنا سفيان حدثني أبو إسحاق
قال له رجل يا أبا عمارة أوليتم يوم حنين قال لا والله ما ولى النبي ﷺ ولكن ولى سرعان الناس تلقتهم هوازن بالنبل ورسول الله ﷺ على بغلة بيضاء وأبو سفيان بن الحارث آخذ بلجامها ورسول الله ﷺ يقول أنا النبي لا كذب أنا ابن عبد المطلب
