Bara bin Azib reported,

When the verse "Not equal are those believers who sit at home, except those who have a disabling injury" [Nisa 4:95] was revealed, Amr bin Umm Maktum, who was blind, came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, what do you command me to do? I am blind."So Allah revealed the words "except those who have a disabling injury."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Bring me the shoulder blade and the inkwell," or "the tablet and the inkwell."

عن البراء بن عازب قال

{لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين غير أولي الضرر} قال لما نزلت جاء عمرو بن أم مكتوم إلى النبي ﷺ وكان ضرير البصر قال يا رسول الله ما تأمرني إني ضرير البصر فأنزل الله عز وجل {غير أولي الضرر} فقال رسول الله ﷺ ائتوني بالكتف والدواة أو اللوح والدواة
