A man said to Bara, "Abu Ammarah, did you all turn and flee on the day of Hunayn?"He replied, "No, by Allah, the Prophet ﷺ did not turn away. It was only the hasty among the people who fled, and Hawazin met them with a shower of arrows. I saw the Prophet ﷺ on his white mule, with Abu Sufyan bin Harith holding its bridle, while he was saying, 'I am the Prophet, this is no lie. I am the son of Abdul-Muttalib.'"
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد حدثنا سفيان حدثني
قال رجل للبراء يا أبا عمارة وليتم يوم حنين قال لا والله ما ولى النبي ﷺ ولكن ولى سرعان الناس فاستقبلتهم هوازن بالنبل قال فلقد رأيت النبي ﷺ على بغلته البيضاء وأبو سفيان بن الحارث آخذ بلجامها وهو يقول أنا النبي لا كذب أنا ابن عبد المطلب
