The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things,' or grants a gift, or shows the way down a narrow path, is like one who has freed a slave."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, Yahya bin Adam rarely mentioned people. I never heard him mention anyone except Qanan. One day he said to us, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'This is not your concern.'"

قال رسول الله ﷺ من قال لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير أو منح منحة أو هدى زقاقا كان كمن أعتق رقبة يقول أبو عبد الرحمن كان يحيى بن آدم قليل الذكر للناس ما سمعته ذكر أحدا غير قنان قال قال لنا يوما قال قال رسول الله ﷺ ليس هذا من بابتكم
