Its isnad is sahih. Talha is Ibn Musarrif, who is trustworthy, virtuous, and a Quran reciter, and his hadith is recorded by the group. Abdul-Rahman bin Awsaja Hamdani is also trustworthy.The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 2/74, no. 1468, in the chapter on Witr, Nasai, 2/179, no. 1016, in the chapter on the opening, Ibn Majah, 1/426, no. 1342, and Darimi, 2/565, no. 3500. Hakim graded it sahih, 1/571 to 575, and cited many supporting narrations and corroborations for it, and Dhahabi agreed with him on all of them except one.
