The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the Friday prayer, as Hashim put it, in the Jumuah prayer on Fridays, "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" [Ala 87:1] and "Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming Event?" [Ghashiyah 88:1]. Sometimes a Friday and an Eid would fall on the same day, and he would recite these two surahs in both prayers.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر وهاشم قالا حدثنا شعبة عن إبراهيم بن محمد بن المنتشر عن أبيه قال هاشم قال يعني في حديثه سمعت أبي يحدث عن حبيب بن سالم
كان رسول الله ﷺ يقرأ في الجمعة قال هاشم في صلاة الجمعة يوم الجمعة بسبح اسم ربك الأعلى وهل أتاك حديث الغاشية وربما اجتمع عيدان فقرأ بهما
