The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Allah, Allah rejoices more at the repentance of His servant than a man who was traveling in a barren wilderness. He took shelter beneath the shade of a tree and slept under it. When he awoke, he found that his mount was gone. He climbed a high spot and looked out, but saw nothing. Then he climbed another and looked out, but saw nothing. He said, 'I will return to the place where I was and stay there until I die.' So he went back, and there was his mount, dragging its halter behind it. Allah rejoices more at the repentance of His servant than this man does at finding his mount."
