Numan bin Bashir reported,

Abu Bakr asked permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and heard Ayesha's voice raised, saying, "By Allah, I know that Ali is dearer to you than my father and me," repeating it two or three times.Abu Bakr was granted permission and entered. He lunged toward her and said, "Daughter of so-and-so, am I to hear you raising your voice at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"

حدثنا أبو نعيم حدثنا يونس حدثنا العيزار بن حريث قال قال

النعمان بن بشير قال

استأذن أبو بكر على رسول الله ﷺ فسمع صوت عائشة عاليا وهي تقول والله لقد عرفت أن عليا أحب إليك من أبي ومني مرتين أو ثلاثا فاستأذن أبو بكر فدخل فأهوى إليها فقال يا بنت فلانة ألا أسمعك ترفعين صوتك على رسول الله ﷺ
