The Prophet of Allah ﷺ. Yunus said that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about tayammum, and he replied, "One strike for the palms and the face."Affan said that the Prophet ﷺ used to say regarding tayammum, "One strike for the face and the palms."

أن نبي الله ﷺ قال يونس إنه سأل رسول الله ﷺ عن التيمم فقال ضربة للكفين والوجه وقال عفان إن النبي ﷺ كان يقول في التيمم ضربة للوجه والكفين
Its isnad is sahih. Azra is Ibn Abdul-Rahman bin Zurara Khuzai Kufi, a trustworthy narrator whose hadith is found in Muslim. Saeed bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abza has hadith found in the six books collectively, and Nasai and Ibn Hibban both affirmed his trustworthiness. His father is also trustworthy, with hadith found in the six books collectively, and Bukhari said he had companionship with the Prophet.The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 1/89, no. 327, in the Book of Purification, tayammum, and by Darimi, 1/208, no. 745.
