The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the people on the evening of Arafah and on the morning of Muzdalifah, as they were setting off, "Be calm and composed." He was holding back his she-camel. When he entered Mina, descending into Muhassir, he said, "You should use small pebbles like those used for flicking, the kind thrown at the Jamrah." The Prophet ﷺ was gesturing with his hand to demonstrate how a person flicks a pebble.
حدثنا روح حدثنا ابن جريج وابن بكر قالا حدثنا ابن جريج أخبرني أبو الزبير أنه أخبره أبو معبد مولى ابن عباس عن عبد الله بن عباس
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال في عشية عرفة وغداة جمع للناس حين دفعوا عليكم السكينة وهو كاف ناقته حتى إذا دخل منى حين هبط محسرا قال عليكم بحصى الخذف الذي يرمى به الجمرة والنبي ﷺ يشير بيده كما يخذف الإنسان
