I went out with the Prophet ﷺ for the pilgrimage. I saw him come out from relieving himself, so I followed him with a water vessel, or a cup. Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wished to relieve himself, he would go far away. I sat waiting for him along the path until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned.I said to him, "Messenger of Allah, the water for ablution."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came toward me. He poured water onto his hand and washed it. Then he placed his hand into the vessel with his palm and poured water onto one hand. Then he wiped his head. Then he scooped up water with one hand and wiped his head. Then he scooped a handful of water with his hand and threw it onto the top of his foot, wiping his foot with his hand. Then he came and led us in the Zuhr prayer.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد قال حدثني أبو جعفر عمير بن يزيد حدثني الحارث بن فضيل وعمارة بن خزيمة بن ثابت
خرجت مع النبي ﷺ حاجا قال فرأيته خرج من الخلاء فاتبعته بالإداوة أو القدح وكان رسول الله ﷺ إذا أراد حاجة أبعد فجلست له بالطريق حتى انصرف رسول الله ﷺ فقلت له يا رسول الله الوضوء قال فأقبل رسول الله ﷺ إلي فصب على يده فغسلها ثم أدخل يده بكفها فصب على يد واحدة ثم مسح على رأسه ثم قبض الماء على يد واحدة ثم مسح على رأسه ثم قبض الماء قبضا بيده فضرب به على ظهر قدمه فمسح بيده على قدمه ثم جاء فصلى لنا الظهر
