The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Some people of my nation will drink wine, calling it by another name."
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Bakr bin Hafs is well known by his kunya, and he is Abdullah bin Hafs bin Amr bin Saad bin Abu Waqqas al-Madani, a trustworthy jurist. Ibn Muhayriz is Abdullah, the well known trustworthy narrator. The hadith was narrated by Hakim, 4/147, and Dhahabi disagreed with him regarding a different isnad than this one. Also by Bayhaqi, 8/295. With a similar wording, "People will surely drink wine..." it was narrated by Abu Dawud, 3/329, number 3688, in the chapter on drinks, and Ibn Majah, 2/333, number 4020, in the chapter on tribulations.
