A man came to Ali and said, "Lend me your stallion for breeding, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever lends his stallion for breeding and the mare conceives from it will have a reward equal to that of seventy horses provided for use in the cause of Allah.'"
حدثنا يزيد بن عبد ربه قال حدثنا محمد بن حرب قال حدثنا الزبيدي عن راشد بن سعد عن أبي عامر الهوزني
أنه أتاه فقال أطرقني من فرسك فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من أطرق فعقت له الفرس كان له كأجر سبعين فرسا حمل عليه في سبيل الله
Its isnad is sahih, all its men being reliable and well-known transmitters from Homs. Muhammad bin Harb is al-Khawlani al-Abrash al-Himsi, the scribe of Zubaydi. He is trustworthy and accepted by everyone, and his hadith is used by the entire group of scholars. Zubaydi is Muhammad bin Walid bin Amir, Abu Huzayl, one of the reliable Successors who lived through both the pre-Islamic and Islamic periods.The hadith was narrated by Ibn Hibban 394, number 1637, and Haythami said in 5/266, "Ahmad and Tabarani narrated it, and their men are reliable."
