Mustawrid bin Shaddad reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "By Allah, this world compared to the Hereafter is nothing but as if one of you dipped his finger into the sea and then withdrew it. Let him consider what it brings up."Mustawrid said, I bear witness that I was among the riders accompanying the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he passed by the campsite of a people who had moved on, and there lay a discarded young goat.He asked, "Do you see how worthless this was to its owners when they cast it aside?"They replied, "It was because of its worthlessness to them that they threw it away."He said, "By Allah, this world is more worthless to Allah than this carcass is to its owners."

عن المستورد بن شداد قال

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول والله ما الدنيا في الآخرة إلا كرجل وضع إصبعه في اليم ثم رجعت إليه فما أخذ منه قال وقال المستورد أشهد أني كنت مع الركب الذين كانوا مع رسول الله ﷺ حين مر بمنزل قوم قد ارتحلوا عنه فإذا سخلة مطروحة فقال أترون هذه هانت على أهلها حين ألقوها قالوا من هوانها عليهم ألقوها قال فوالله للدنيا أهون على الله عز وجل من هذه على أهلها
