The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Allah, this world compared to the hereafter is nothing but like one of you dipping this finger of his into the sea. Let him see what it brings back." He meant the finger next to the thumb.
حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا إسماعيل ويزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا إسماعيل عن قيس قال سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ والله ما الدنيا في الآخرة إلا مثل ما يجعل أحدكم إصبعه هذه في اليم فلينظر بم ترجع يعني التي تلي الإبهام
