Fadl was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ, and he reported that on the evening of Arafah and the morning of Muzdalifah, when the people were moving along, the Prophet ﷺ said to them, "Maintain calm." He was holding back his she-camel until he entered Muhassir, which is part of Mina, and then he said, "You should use small pebbles like those flicked between two fingers for stoning the Jamrah."He also said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued to recite the talbiyah until he stoned the Jamrah."
حدثنا حجين ويونس قالا حدثنا ليث بن سعد عن أبي الزبير عن أبي معبد مولى ابن عباس عن عبد الله بن عباس
وكان رديف النبي ﷺ أنه قال في عشية عرفة وغداة جمع للناس حين دفعوا عليكم السكينة وهو كاف ناقته حتى إذا دخل محسرا وهو من منى قال عليكم بحصى الخذف الذي يرمى به الجمرة وقال لم يزل رسول الله ﷺ يلبي حتى رمى الجمرة
