Amr bin As reported,

You have come to desire what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to renounce. You have come to long for this world, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned away from it. By Allah, not a single night passed over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his lifetime except that what he owed was more than what he had.One of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "We saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taking loans."He said, and someone other than Yahya said, "By Allah, three days never passed over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except that what he owed was more than what he had."

حدثنا يحيى بن إسحاق قال ثنا ليث بن سعد عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن علي بن رباح قال سمعت

عمرو بن العاص يقول

لقد أصبحتم وأمسيتم ترغبون فيما كان رسول الله ﷺ يزهد فيه أصبحتم ترغبون في الدنيا وكان رسول الله ﷺ يزهد فيها والله ما أتت على رسول الله ﷺ ليلة من دهره إلا كان الذي عليه أكثر مما له قال فقال له بعض أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ قد رأينا رسول الله ﷺ يستسلف قال و قال غير يحيى والله ما مر برسول الله ﷺ ثلاثة من الدهر إلا والذي عليه أكثر من الذي له
