He entered with Abdullah bin Amr upon his father Amr bin As, who brought food close to them and said, "Eat."Abdullah replied, "I am fasting."Amr said, "Eat, for these are the days on which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command us to break our fast and forbid us from fasting."Malik said, "These are the days of Tashriq."
حدثنا روح قال حدثنا مالك عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن الهاد
أنه دخل مع عبد الله بن عمرو على أبيه عمرو بن العاص فقرب إليهما طعاما فقال كل قال إني صائم قال عمرو كل فهذه الأيام التي كان رسول الله ﷺ يأمرنا بفطرها وينهى عن صيامها قال مالك وهي أيام التشريق
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Murrah, the freedman of Umm Hani, also said to be the freedman of Aqeel bin Abu Talib, whose name was Yazid, is among the trustworthy Successors. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 2/803, no. 2418, Hims edition, and by Darimi, 2/24, no. 1767, both in the Book of Fasting, on the prohibition of fasting during the days of Tashriq.
