I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he raised his gaze upon me, then lowered it, and said, "A young lad."I said, "Messenger of Allah, a young lad of good or a young lad of evil?"He replied, "Rather, a young lad of good."I said, "Messenger of Allah, we live in a land of game. I send out my trained dog, and sometimes I reach the prey while it is still alive to slaughter it properly, and sometimes I do not. I shoot with my arrow, and sometimes I reach the prey while it is still alive to slaughter it properly, and sometimes I do not."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Eat whatever your hand, your bow, and your trained dog bring back to you, whether slaughtered or not."
