A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was delivering the sermon to the people on Friday. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Sit down, for you have caused harm and arrived late."
حدثنا زيد بن الحباب حدثنا معاوية بن صالح قال حدثني أبو الزاهرية
أن رجلا جاء إلى النبي ﷺ وهو يخطب الناس يوم الجمعة فقال اجلس فقد آذيت وآنيت
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Zahiriyyah is Hudayr bin Kurayb, and he is trustworthy, and his hadith is found in Muslim and the four Sunan. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 1/292, no. 1118, in the chapter on prayer, stepping over people's necks on Friday, and Nasai, 3/103, no. 1399, in the chapter on Friday, with similar wording, and Ibn Majah, 1/354, no. 1115.
