Yazid Dhu Misr reported,

I went to Utba bin Abdul-Sulami and said, "Abu Walid, I went out looking for sacrificial animals, and I found nothing that pleased me except one with broken teeth. What do you say about that?"He replied, "Why did you not bring it to me?"I said, "Glory be to Allah, is it permissible for you and not permissible for me?"He answered, "Yes, because you have doubts about it and I do not. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade only the musaffarah, the mustasilah, the bakhqa, the mushayyaah, and the kasra."The musaffarah is the one whose ear has been cut away at the root until its ear canal is exposed. The mustasilah is the one whose horn has been broken off at its base. The bakhqa is the one whose eye has been gouged out. The mushayyaah is the one that cannot keep up with the flock because of its leanness, weakness, and inability. The kasra is the one that has no marrow in its bones.
