The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade plucking the tails, manes, and forelocks of horses, saying, "Their tails are their fly-swatters, their manes are their warmth, and goodness is tied to their forelocks until the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أنبأنا سفيان عن ثور بن يزيد عن نصر عن رجل
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن نتف أذناب الخيل وأعرافها ونواصيها وقال أذنابها مذابها وأعرافها إدفاؤها ونواصيها معقود بها الخير إلى يوم القيامة
