He gave his daughter in marriage to Hajjaj bin Yusuf and said to her, "When he comes in to you, say, 'There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.'" He claimed that whenever a serious matter weighed upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he would say this.Hammad said, "I think he said that Hajjaj was unable to consummate the marriage with her."
