We were on a military expedition with the Prophet ﷺ when we passed by a woman who had been killed, with people gathered around her. They made way for him, and he asked, "This woman was not fighting, was she?"Then he said to a man, "Go to Khalid bin Walid and tell him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands you not to kill any child or hired servant."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن أبي الزناد عن المرقع بن صيفي
غزونا مع النبي ﷺ فمررنا على امرأة مقتولة وقد اجتمع عليها الناس قال فأفرجوا له فقال ما كانت هذه تقاتل ثم قال لرجل انطلق إلى خالد بن الوليد فقل له إن رسول الله ﷺ يأمرك أن لا تقتل ذرية ولا عسيفا
