The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever finds a small lost item, such as a dirham, a rope, or something similar, should announce it for three days. If it is worth more than that, he should announce it for six days."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أخبرنا إسرائيل بن يونس حدثني عمر بن عبد الله بن يعلى عن جدته حكيمة عن أبيها يعلى قال يزيد فيما يروي
قال رسول الله ﷺ من التقط لقطة يسيرة درهما أو حبلا أو شبه ذلك فليعرفه ثلاثة أيام فإن كان فوق ذلك فليعرفه ستة أيام
