Yaala bin Siyaba reported,

The Prophet ﷺ passed by a grave and said, "The occupant of this grave is being punished, though not for something major." Then he called for a fresh palm branch and placed it upon the grave, saying, "Perhaps his torment will be eased as long as it remains moist."

أن النبي ﷺ مر بقبر فقال إن صاحب هذا القبر يعذب في غير كبير ثم دعا بجريدة فوضعها على قبره فقال لعله أن يخفف عنه ما دامت رطبة
