Haban bin Bah Sadai reported,

My people had rejected faith, so I was told that the Prophet ﷺ had prepared an army to send against them. I came to him and said, "My people have accepted Islam."He asked, "Is that so?"I replied, "Yes."So I stayed with him from that night until morning. When dawn came, I gave the call to prayer. He handed me a vessel to perform ablution from, then the Prophet ﷺ placed his fingers in the vessel and water gushed forth from them like springs. He said, "Whoever among you wishes to perform ablution, let him do so." So I performed ablution and prayed.He appointed me as leader over my people and gave me their charity to collect. Then a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "So-and-so has wronged me."The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no good in leadership for a Muslim."Then another man came asking for charity, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Charity is a headache in the head and a burning in the stomach," or, "a disease."So I handed him my document, or the document of my appointment, along with the charity I had collected.He asked, "What is the matter with you?"I said, "How can I accept it after hearing from you what I have heard?"He replied, "It is just as you heard."

حدثنا حسن حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا بكر بن سوادة عن زياد بن نعيم

عن حبان بن بح الصدائي صاحب النبي ﷺ أنه قال

إن قومي كفروا فأخبرت أن النبي ﷺ جهز إليهم جيشا فأتيته فقلت إن قومي على الإسلام فقال أكذلك فقلت نعم قال فاتبعته ليلتي إلى الصباح فأذنت بالصلاة لما أصبحت وأعطاني إناء توضأت منه فجعل النبي ﷺ أصابعه في الإناء فانفجر عيونا فقال من أراد منكم أن يتوضأ فليتوضأ فتوضأت وصليت وأمرني عليهم وأعطاني صدقتهم فقام رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال فلان ظلمني فقال النبي ﷺ لا خير في الإمرة لمسلم ثم جاء رجل يسأل صدقة فقال له رسول الله ﷺ إن الصدقة صداع في الرأس وحريق في البطن أو داء فأعطيته صحيفتي أو صحيفة إمرتي وصدقتي فقال ما شأنك فقلت كيف أقبلها وقد سمعت منك ما سمعت فقال هو ما سمعت
