I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a son of mine, and he asked, "Is this your son?"I replied, "Yes, I bear witness that he is."He said, "He shall not bear the consequences of your crimes, nor shall you bear the consequences of his."He said, "And I saw that his grey hair was reddish."
حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا عبد الملك بن عمير عن إياد بن لقيط قال أخبرني
أتيت رسول الله ﷺ ومعي ابن لي فقال هذا ابنك قلت نعم أشهد به قال لا يجني عليك ولا تجني عليه قال ورأيت الشيب أحمر
Its isnad is sahih. Walid bin Laqeet was praised by the scholars, and his hadith is found among the collections of the group of scholars except Bukhari, outside Sahih Bukhari. It has already appeared in similar form at 16009.
